About Us!
Welcome to the Holmes Cultural Diversity Center at Mississippi State University.
Formerly known as the Office of Minority Affairs the Holmes Cultural Diversity Center
strives to enhance the college experience of culturally diverse students at Mississippi
State University. Since its beginning in 1979 as the Office of Minority Affairs,
the Center has been an important part of university life. Many students who interact
with the center consider it to be a "home away from home". In 1991, The Holmes
Cultural Diversity Center was dedicated to Dr. Richard E. Holmes, the first African
American alumnus of Mississippi State University
